![]() Since the screen is so much bigger, it’s much easier to use the swipe-to-type function, and our fingers have more room to maneuver. We tested SwiftKey on our iPhone 5 earlier this week and now we set it up on the iPhone 6. One of our favorite new features is the ability to add third-party keyboard apps. The absence of compatible apps due to a bug in the system has only exacerbated the issue. The HealthKit app isn’t intuitive, easy to use, or particularly useful. Unfortunately, two of the biggest features - Apple Pay and HealthKit - are currently unavailable. It looks and works almost exactly like iOS 7, but with a few minor alterations. We’ve been using iOS 8 since it arrived on September 17. The lines look sloppy and almost accidental. Personally, we wish the space between the white lines were filled in white as it is on the iPhone 5S. The only real complaint that we have about the phone’s design is the odd, white lines on the back. Our review unit features the gold finish, which adds a bit of personality to the design. It’s positioned much closer to the edge of the phone, though, so you’ll have to be careful not to cover the lens when taking pictures as you hold the phone horizontally. The camera sticks out slightly from the back of the device, but it’s not too noticeable. Muscle memory will have hard-core iPhone users looking for the button at the top, but the side switch is easier to reach. The new position makes it much easier to turn the phone on and off. We’ve been hoping that Apple would move the power button ever since the iPhone 5 came out. The power button has now moved to the right-hand side and we found that it aligned with our index finger or thumb well. The iPhone 6 is just a hair narrower than the HTC One M8 and quite a bit shorter. At this point, it’s a waste of space, but Apple is wedded to the Home button, where its Touch ID fingerprint sensor is located. Oddly, its huge top and bottom bezels make it the same size as the Moto X, even though it has a smaller screen. In terms of size, the iPhone 6 is narrower than the 2014 Moto X, but it looks just about as tall as the new Moto, which has a 5.2-inch screen. ![]() The iPhone 6’s curves ensure that it nestles into your palms and eases the grip of your fingers on the side. If using stickers from GIPHY, tap and hold the sticker, and then drag it on top of images and texts. Before releasing the sticker, use two fingers to resize or reposition it if required. And there you have it – if you're having too much trouble with Images or just want a larger library of GIFs, use the GIPHY app on your iPhone instead. Tap on the GIF and it will appear in the text field, and can now be sent to the other person. There's also an option to add GIPHY Clips, which are GIFs with sound. You can now tap on the GIPHY app and search for GIFs, Images, Emoji, and Stickers. It should now be visible in the list of apps above the keyboard, which is also where users access the Images app. Search for " GIPHY" and download the app. To download the app, open a text message and tap on the App Store icon just below the search bar. GIPHY is one of the best options, given that it has one of the largest collections of GIFs, and can be accessed straight from Messages. While the Images app in Messages has a large library of GIFs, iPhone users also have the option to download third-party apps for iMessage and use them for GIFs instead. Tap that button, tap ' Edit' in the top left corner, tap the '-' icon next to ' #images,' and tap ' Remove from Favorites.' Now tap the green toggle next to ' #images,' to fully disable the app, tap the toggle again to re-enable it, and it should be back to normal. Open the Messages app on your iPhone and swipe left on the apps list at the bottom of the screen until you see a button with three dots. If you notice that GIFs aren't working on your iPhone, one of the easiest ways to fix this is by removing and re-adding the Images app in iMessage. Sometimes, though, these GIFs stop working. ![]() ![]() Tapping a GIF instantly adds it to your message, making it as easy as possible to send funny GIFs in the blink of an eye. ![]() When composing a message, simply tap the red Images icon, tap one of the recommended GIFs, or search for a specific one. Apple makes it extremely easy to share GIFs on iMessage.
